Why Do We Need Termite Protection?
Termites are one of the most destructive forces in nature. According to some estimates, termites cause $5 - $11 billion worth of damage each year in the U.S. alone. These silent invaders cause more damage than fires, storms and e
arthquakes combined. Homeowners insurance can help recover losses from these disasters, but insurance against termite damage is almost impossible.
Termites can be found in almost every state as well as Mexico and parts of Canada. In Tennessee, the Eastern Subterranean Termites is the most prevailing and widest distributed threat. They normally live below ground and may move up into a dwelling, damaging wooden support beams, cabinets, doors – all the way into attic structures. Once in your dwelling, termites can actively feed on your home for three to five years before you know they are there.

How Do Termites Enter Your Home?
Common Termite Entry Points

Termites primarily live in the ground. When we build a home, it is place over the termites’ habitat. They search for cellulose based material/wood 24 hours/days per week, and when they find it, the damage starts. Unfortunately, even the best built homes are not immune to termites. They can enter your home in any crack that is 1/64th of an inch or larger - all the room they need to invade your walls, attic and other cellulose based structures.

ArmaXX’s Approach to Termite Protection

Armaxx uses, Termidor, the world's most effective termite control, eliminating 100 percent of termites in three months or less. Why?

|

Termidor is safe and used on pets & crops!
Termidor is applied at very low rates. Typically, the active ingredient (fipronil) is just 0.06% of the solution, a concentration much lower than that of older liquids and less than most insecticides. Since 1995, fipronil has been used around the world for flea and tick control on household pets and on agricultural crops to protect food supplies. And Termidor has virtually no odor, which means you and your family won't notice a thing.

How Termidor protects your home from termites
|
After Termidor is applied, termites that contact it transfer it to every other termite they in turn contact in a unique process called the "Transfer Effect." And because Termidor is engineered to be slow-acting, termites have ample time to spread it throughout their entire termite population.

Termidor vs Baiting Stations
How
Termidor protects your home -
 |
The Termidor Termite Defense System protects the entire perimeter of your home, including your accessible crawlspaces and basements. The program also protects your garage interior as well.
The protection benefits start immediately, typically killing the termite colony in 3 months |
How Bait Stations protect your home -
 |
Bait System are installed around the outside perimeter of your home, roughly 8 – 10 feet apart. A piece of wood is placed in the station as a termite attractant. No active termite protection agents are used.
Bait will not be added until there is termite activity in one or more of the stations. Yes, termites will still be damaging the home until the bait station feeds them enough bait, which can take months or years! |
